Introduced in 1988 as the successor to the long-running 5513, the 14060 carried the Submariner into a more modern era, while holding on to everything that made the earlier models so appealing. A sapphire crystal, updated movement, and unidirectional bezel brought practical improvements, yet the essence remained unchanged: a no-nonsense tool watch, pure in its design.

This early two-line dial version has a certain charm to it. It echoes the simplicity of the 5513, yet feels a touch more contemporary—making it an easy companion for everyday wear, without the concerns that sometimes come with earlier vintage pieces. The glossy dial, signed “Swiss-T<25,” indicates the use of tritium, and remains beautifully clean, with matching lume on both the hands and hour markers.

The case is in strong condition, retaining its crisp lines and overall presence. It is paired with a solid 93150 bracelet with 501B end links, showing very nice condition, and fitted with a clasp stamped “S12.”

Accompanying the watch are its original punched papers, noting a sale in Germany in 1994, along with its booklet, paper holder, and both inner and outer boxes. Additionally, the watch comes with a Rolex service invoice and service card dated 2022.
